Both Trish and Kevin are very personable, and we chatted easily while I was checking in. The inn features a "bistro" where you can help yourself to coffee or tea at any time during the day, and you might even find a homemade treat set out by the innkeepers as well.

One word - excellent. We booked for a single night as part of our trip and did not want to leave. The room was clean and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the private bath was beautiful. The food was fresh and delicious. Trish and Kevin were available, but not intrusive. Our short stay was restful and quiet. Would most definitely recommend this place. Great work Trish and Kevin!!

My husband and I were looking for a relaxing two nights away and we couldn't have been more pleased with the Captain's Manor. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Trish and Kevin to the moment we sadly departed, everything was perfect. The Inn is BIG- lots of places to sit and relax. Everything is artfully decorated and you won't find a speck of dust or a wall in need of paint anywhere - they have done a marvelous job of restoring all the beauty of the original house while modernizing it. The bed was SO comfy, the towels were fluffy, and the FOOD - oh wow! The afternoon snacks were delicious and breakfast was five stars both mornings. Trish and Kevin were born to do this, obviously, and we look forward to visiting this fabulous bed and breakfast again soon!

In summary, this was one of the finest inns I have stayed at, and I look forward to going back, and soon!

I had the opportunity to view three of their guest rooms, and they were all immaculate, beautifully decorated and comfortable. I chose the Forbes Room, which is in a quiet upstairs corner of the inn. The bed was high, firm, and incredibly comfortable. The sheets were the softest I've ever felt in my life (was pleased to find out that they can be purchased through the inn as well, and even on their website). The shower was nice and hot with great water pressure and also featured a rain shower head.

My husband and I returned to Captain's Manor Inn this spring after thoroughly enjoying our stay last year. Our room, with it's cozy fireplace, lovely king size bed and a bathroom with double rain shower heads was so comfy we found it hard to leave. The house is impeccably kept, run by Innkeepers whose easy warmth and obvious interest in the surrounding area only added to the enjoyment of our stay. A delicious breakfast served each morning definitely got each day off to a pleasant start. We will be returning next year!

I can not say enough good things about The Captain's Manor Inn. I was impressed before I even stepped foot on their property. My husband and I like to travel a lot, so I have visited my share of websites for inns, hotels, B&Bs, etc. I have found that more often than not, the hospitality industry is sorely lacking in the website department. However, Captain's Manor had a well designed website, with lots of information & photos, and it was super easy to see what their availability was. Trish, the innkeeper, responded right away to a question I submitted via email. Luckily, the inn had availability for the night I needed, so I went ahead and booked the room. Trish sent me personalized driving directions from the place I'd be driving from -- an extra touch that was very welcome.

The inn is perfectly located in Falmouth Center, within walking distance of a number of great restaurants, shops and pubs. Trish made a number of recommendations for dinner, and the inn even has menus from several restaurants to review before venturing out.

Breakfast was a nice and relaxing experience, featuring delicious, homemade cooking.

Our stay at the end of April was one that we truly enjoyed despite the unusually cool weather. We were still able to visit Martha's Vineyard and the surrounding areas. Our innkeepers, Trish and Kevin were extremely warm and hospitable and they went out of their way to make sure that our stay was perfect! No request or information was too much to ask for from them. They were always willing to help. Our room with a king sized bed was decorated in a Tuscany theme and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It is a full 5 star inn with 5 star innkeepers Trish and Kevin along with their staff, Breakfasts were absolutely delicious! We honestly recommend treating yourselves to a stay there!

Lights throughout the common areas of the inn are on motion sensors, so that you may feel welcome to visit the bistro or library at any time during the day or night.
