On a side note: I cannot speak to their pricing on more in-depth auto work because I only had the oil change done.
Called AAA, state trooper secured scene, car towed12am, arriving at 1am.
Found no objects in the tire.
Paid $81.00 for an oil change. Outrageous !
Good place to get an oil change Price is Right
Great. $29 oil change, 2 hour delay late at night on the highway and a $25 valve replacement.
Good auto shop with respectful and knowledgeable mechanics. Went in for an oil change (only $30, which is less than most places charge these days), and also received the "Midas Courtesy Check." Expecting them to hardball me into more services I was pleasantly surprised at the candid explanation of problems that could be addressed or that may become a problem sometime soon. Will be returning for more work.
Brought my truck in because of a noise in the rear. Bill, the technician said I needed new brake pads and resurface rotors. 5 days later I was driving and lost all brakes (hydraulic issue). My vehicle was towed to a mechanic who said my brake lines were rusted out - 80% of the lines needed to be replaced. The Midas website says, "Midas technicians know every part of your brake system inside and out." It would have been great if Bill had mentioned the rusted brake lines. The potential damage that could have been caused to vehicles and lives when my brake lines went out is not a risk I ever want to take again. When I called Midas, I was told I should have brought the vehicle back to their shop. There is no way after the initial $294 expense with no mention of my rusty brake lines I would ever return to this shop. I hope this review will caution customer's who may be in need of brake job. There are several other good mechanics in the Falmouth area.
Ironically, the oil wasn't scheduled to be changed for another 1,000 miles but I figured change it early so I wouldn't have issues over the summer.
Later that night, I'm driving home and I feel my car pulling to the right. Flat tire @ 11pm.
Got an oil change yesterday. They did a courtesy check as well. Adjusted my air pressure in my tires.
Took the tire to local shop for repair...valve was torn.
